Brighten up your day and those around you on Friday 28 March 2025 by wearing colour and supporting a great cause, E Tū Tāngata.
Tall Poppy Syndrome is a phenomenon where we cut people down to size who dare to stand out. E Tū Tāngata is an initiative aimed at turning that around. Empowering people to build a culture where every person is valued.
The idea of Colour Your Day is to wear bright colours because you have value and everybody deserves to stand-out without facing criticism from others.
On the day, you’ll see those around you also dressed in bright colours which is a powerful representation that we’re in this together to help kids STAND UP for STANDING OUT.

We believe that every kiwi kid has value, that they can succeed together, and that others matter. In fact, every kiwi should be able to hold their head up high and be all that they can be, knowing they have the applause of their friends and family.
That’s why Colour your Day is supporting the work of E Tū Tāngata. Their online Resource Kete provides resources to encourage conversations that change the way we think and speak about ourselves and others. Ultimately, creating a mindset that raises the bar.
So let’s Colour your Day and support the work of E Tū Tāngata, to write a new script and shift our culture.
